When Edinburgh's world-renowned anatomy schools face a cadaver shortage in the 1820s, two men smell a money-making enterprise. Based on historical events, The Nefarious, Immoral, But Highly Profitable Enterprise of Mr. Burke & Mr. Hare follows the infamous 10-month killing spree of William Burke and William Hare -- and questions how far society will go in the name of "science". With music by Julian Grant and libretto by Mark Campbell, this highly theatrical and brutally funny chamber opera brings both gore and glee to Boston Center for the Arts - Cyclorama.
