The musical boasts an impressive pedigree, with music and lyrics by none other than the legendary Oscar-winning songwriter Stephen Schwartz, who has previously collaborated with Kristin Chenoweth on the hit musical "Wicked." Chenoweth, a Tony and Emmy Award winner, will take on the role of Jackie Siegel, bringing her incredible vocal range and acting chops to the stage.

Joining Chenoweth in the cast are Academy Award-winning actor F. Murray Abraham as David Siegel, Melody Butiu as Sofia Flores, and Nina White as Victoria Siegel. The book for "The Queen of Versailles" is written by Lindsey Ferrentino, and the production will be directed by Tony Award winner Michael Arden.

The musical is based on Lauren Greenfield's acclaimed 2012 documentary of the same name, which followed the Siegels as they embarked on building the largest private home in America, a $100 million mansion inspired by the Palace of Versailles. However, the story takes a turn when the Great Recession of 2008 hits, threatening to shatter the Siegels' lavish lifestyle and dreams.

"The Queen of Versailles" promises to be a captivating exploration of the true cost of fame, fortune, and family in the face of adversity. The musical is produced by Bill Damaschke, Seaview, and Kristin Chenoweth through her production company, Diva Worldwide Entertainment. Damaschke previously produced the successful world premiere of "Moulin Rouge! The Musical" at the Emerson Colonial Theatre in 2018, which went on to win 10 Tony Awards, including "Best Musical."

This strictly limited five-week engagement is set to run from Tuesday, July 16th through Sunday, August 18th, marking an exciting new chapter for the historic Emerson Colonial Theatre and the Boston theater scene.
